Inquestria Science
Android package: uk.co.inquesresearch.eng.inqscience
Last updated: 23 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how INQUESTRIA RESEARCH LTD ('we', 'us', or 'our') handles information in connection with the Inquestria Science Android application (package name uk.co.inquesresearch.eng.inqscience). The app is a local-first science readiness review tool that helps users inspect the condition of a specific experiment, study block, bench test, field sampling session, prototype measurement run, or technical investigation across structured categories, mark gaps, attach local notes and evidence, and generate a readiness heatmap, issue clusters, delta checklist strips, and practical action pack.
This policy applies to your use of the app on your Android device. It describes the information that is stored locally on your device and the limited circumstances under which information may be shared externally. By using the app, you are not entering into a contract; this policy is intended to inform you about our data practices.
Local App Data
The app is designed to work primarily on your device. The core workflow operates locally, and the application does not automatically transmit local content to the developer.
As part of using the app, you may create and manage review packs that are stored on your device. This locally stored information may include:
saved review packs
local notes
local category statuses
local issue clusters
local action pack completion marks
local evidence photos
local exports
local preferences
This local content is not automatically transmitted to us. It remains on your device unless you choose to export, copy, or share it through the mechanisms described below.
You can create, save, reopen, rename, duplicate, and delete review packs at any time. You can also copy summaries, export local summaries, and share them through the Android share sheet. Additionally, you can clear local demo content and clear all local data where such controls are available.
User-Initiated External Actions
The app may provide options for you to open external Android services, such as a browser, email client, maps app, or the Android share sheet. These actions are entirely user-initiated and only occur when you choose to use them.
When you use these external services, they operate under their own privacy practices, and we do not control the information you choose to share or transmit through them.
For example, you may choose to export a summary of your review pack and share it via email or another app. This is a voluntary action, and the content you share is under your control.
Export and Sharing
The app allows you to export, copy, or share locally generated summaries and other content through Android system actions. These functions are optional and user-initiated.
When you export or share content, you are choosing to transmit it outside the app. The data remains on your device unless you take such action. We do not automatically receive or store any of this shared content.
If you attach optional local evidence photos to a review pack, those photos are stored locally on your device as part of your review data. They are not automatically uploaded to us or to any cloud service.
What the App Does Not Include
The app does not require login or account registration, does not use cloud synchronisation, and does not provide payment or subscription functionality. It also does not include any monetisation features.
The app's core workflow is local, and it does not automatically transmit your review data or any other local content to the developer.
Important Use Notice
The app is intended as an informational and practical review aid for managing your own local working assessments. It is not accreditation, regulatory clearance, scientific proof, clinical guidance, or advice of any kind, including medical, legal, regulatory, safety, certification, or accreditation advice.
The scores and outputs generated by the app are user-managed local working judgements based on the observations, evidence, and status selections you enter. They are not a substitute for formal institutional, regulatory, safety, or accreditation processes.
You should not rely on the app's outputs as a basis for any professional, legal, or regulatory decision without appropriate validation.
Retention and Deletion
Your local review data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app's local data, or uninstall the application. You can delete individual review packs, and the app provides controls to clear all local data.
If you export or share files, those copies remain wherever you choose to save or share them, and the developer does not retain any of that content.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the app and its local data. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your device or the data stored on it.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for safeguarding any exported files you choose to store or share.
Your Rights
If you are located in the UK or the EEA, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, where applicable under law.
Because the app stores data locally on your device and does not automatically transmit it to us, you can typically manage or delete your data directly on your device or by uninstalling the application. If you have questions about your data, you may contact us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal data from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or address the situation. If you believe we may have collected such information, please contact us.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, the revision date at the top of this policy will be updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle your information.
